Recording starts when your phone is still, inside your sleep window, so check that the window in Settings covers your actual bedtime and that the phone was left alone rather than picked up. The microphone permission must be granted, and on Android battery optimisation has to be disabled for Snoaring or the system will stop the background service while you sleep.
This is almost always the operating system reclaiming memory or applying battery restrictions. Exempt Snoaring from battery optimisation, and keep the phone plugged in overnight if the problem persists.
An episode needs several bursts arriving with the rhythm of breathing, so a few isolated snorts may not qualify. If the phone is far from the bed, move it closer — snoring is mostly low-frequency and loses energy across a room. You can also raise sensitivity in Settings.
Lower the sensitivity in Settings. Detection deliberately ignores steady noise like a fan by treating it as the room's background, but an unusual repeated sound can still get through.
Yes. Detection runs entirely on your device. A connection is only needed for the morning analysis.
Sign in with the same account you purchased on, then tap Restore purchase on the paywall. Purchases are tied to your Snoaring account so they follow you to a new phone.
Purchases are handled by Apple and Google, so refunds go through them — reportaproblem.apple.com for the App Store, or Google Play's order history. Email us if you need help.
Delete individual reports in the app, or uninstall it to remove every local recording and report.
Email connect@akshaykotish.com from your account address and we will delete your account and purchase record. Note this ends access to a purchase tied to that account. The full steps, and exactly what is removed, are on the delete your account page.
What is collected and where it goes is set out in the privacy policy.
